Happiness is the word which comes direct from the heart. For me happiness is the spiritual and most pious feeling of living every minute with love.

My idea of happiness is Gratitude. 

Gratitude is the best quality of being thankful, to show appreciation for and to return kindness. It makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates vision for tomorrow. Its a feeling of being thankful and appreciative. I always stay happy, because i m grateful. I always choose to be grateful. and that attitude of gratitude makes me happy always. We learned about gratitude from so many places, from home, when mom prepares food for us and takes good care, when we go to school there are teachers who have inspired us for what we are now, the people around who keeps our city, our areas clean, and we were taught to value everyones contribution and give them the respect they need. But have we shown our gratitude to any of them ? Majorly NO. Feeling gratitude and not showing or expressing it is like a wrapping a gift and not giving it to the needful. Frankly speaking it has positive effects on our long term future. Sometimes its so important that we should express our gratitude for small small and simple things happening around us.

Thank you is the best prayer anyone could say. I also keep saying that a lot. I have heard somewhere that Thank you expresses extreme gratitude and understanding. It touches direct to others heart. Its the sign of noble souls. When you become sad, Focus on the gratitude, and the tide of disappointment goes out and that of love rushes in.

The best way to show gratitude in your life is to count your blessings. When you are grateful for the things you have no matter how small or big, you will see those things instantly increase and the happiness all over. the more gratitude you feel, the more happiest you will be.

My Experience – 

When I was into my job, i have a handle a very difficult and arrogant client. but i was and still i m very much grateful to him as i learned how to handle the most difficult things in life and any damn situations.

My way of showing gratitude, when i donated whatever i have at my home and prepared few things during Christmas and new year with kids.

Teaching my child – 

I always teach my child to show gratitude. Gratitude is expensive. Thats shown in acts and it helps you to grow and expand. It brings joy and laughter in your life. Your life will change by practicing gratitude and saying Thank you. Somewhere i read that People who readily express their gratitude are more empathetic and have better mental health than those who don’t.

She herself spoke out once that Mom, i wish to show gratitude to our watchman uncle…He is so much kind hearted and always takes good care of us. When all of us are sleeping tight, he is still awake just because thieves dont enter our house. She opened her cupboard and donated her blanket to the watchman uncle. I am very proud of her for her thoughts and deeds.

For you –

Try it once…. Start showing your gratitude and trust me…thats the most happiest thing you will be doing. Everyday find something to thank someone for. It will make you happier and give you better outlook of the day. Your day will go magically happier. To make others happy is not an easy job, you will find yourself more joyous after showing gratitude. and it also develops deeper relationships.

I wanted to say thanks and share my gratitude for everything I’ve been blessed with. Family, Friends, relatives and continued support from everyone.

Few ways to show gratitude and feel happiness…

  • Write a Thank you note.
  • Send a post card/e-card.
  • Tell someone face to face how much they mean to you.
  • Put a sticky note somewhere.
  • Make them their favourite meal.
  • Give donation.
  • Spend quality time.
