Tricolour Mocktail Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 tbsp kiwi syrup
  • 2tbsp cream based soda
  • 2 tbsp orange syrup
  • ½ spoon sugar syrup
  • Crushed ice

 

METHOD:

         Take a Mocktail glass. First pour the kiwi syrup, then cream based soda and add some crushed ice to it. Then pour orange syrup at the top of the glass. Put some crushed ice again and add sugar syrup on to the top most layer and do not mix it. This procedure need to be done very carefully. Serve chilled tricolor Mocktail.

TIP: this is a very rich dish in the form of liquid. Orange contains vitamin C which is very good for our eyes and body. Kiwi  which contains Iron and Potassium. Overall it is very healthy drink and can be serve to all.


Tricolour Tacos with Cheese

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 Taco shells
  • 125 gms Paneer in cubes
  • 50 gm Red and Yellow bell pepper diced
  • 150 gm cheese dip
  • 50gm Lettuce
  • 50 gm Jalapeno sliced
  • 5gm White pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Taco seasoning
  • 50 gm ready Salsa Dip
  • Olive oil

 

METHOD:

For the filling, Marinate Paneer with olive oil, white pepper powder and salt and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes. Either use a griller to grill the marinated Paneer or shallow fry them. Arrange the Tacos shells with Lettuce and then put the ready paneer stuffing and seasoned it with Red and Yellow bell pepper cubes. Then spread Cheese Sauce evenly on the top and sprinkle Tacos seasoning. Serve the ready Tacos with Salsa Dip.

TIP:

This dish contains a bit western taste so is loved by the youngsters a lot. It also contains a good quantity of Paneer and Cheese which are rich in calciums and helps in strengthening our bones.


Tricolour Capsicum Masala Fry

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 Capsicums or Bell Peppers of Tricolour diced
  • 1 onion diced into cubes
  • Few curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp oil
  • For making Powder:
  • ½ cup roasted peanuts
  • 1 tbsp desiccated coconut
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 4-5 red chillies
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Few coriander leaves for garnishing

 

METHOD:

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and onions. Once onion turns brown add tricolor capsicum, curry leaves and salt one by one and stir for few minutes on slow flame. On the other side blend all the ingredients of the powder into fine powder using a grinder. Add this powder into the capsicum mixture and stir for another 5 minutes. Do not overcook  the Capsicum, they should have a slight crunch. Turn off the flame and take the ready Capsicum Masala Fry in to a dish and garnish it with coriander leaves. Serve it with roti, paratha or chapatti.

TIP:

Use very little oil for this recipe because peanut and coconut also releases some amount of oil. Though it might be spicy but it tastes very yummy and even looks very colourful. It is rich in carbohydrates and vitamins since it contains peanuts, capsicum and Bell Peppers.


Tricolour Mayo Sandwich

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 6 Bread slices
  • ¼ cup grated carrot
  • 1 sliced green cucumber
  • ¼ cup boiled mashed potato
  • ½ tsp chat masala
  • ½ tsp pepper powder
  • 2 tbsp mint chutney, tomato ketchup, Mayonnaise each
  • Butter as required
  • Salt to taste

 

METHOD:

For White Layer: take boiled mashed potato in a bowl, add pepper powder and salt and mix it well. Add grated cheese if required.

For Orange Layer: take carrot in a bowl, add chat masala and salt and mix well.

For Green Layer: take cucumber in a bowl, add salt and pepper to it and mix well.

        Cut the sides of the bread, apply butter on one side of each bread. Apply ketchup and carrot mixture on one slice, mint chutney on another slice and then put cucumber slices on it. Now, Spread Mayo on one slice and then apply potato mixture. Combine all the layers as tiranga and then cut into diagonal shape (triangular)

TIP:

This sandwich is very colourful so it is liked by the kids a lot and also since it contains so many veggies it is very rich in protein and Vitamins and can be turned as a very healthy dish for all.


Tricolour delicious Halwa

 

INGREDIENTS:

For Lauki kaa Halwa:

  • 500 gms peeled and grated lauki(bottle gourd, doodhi)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup mava (khoya)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 tbsp ghee
  • ½ tsp elaichi powder
  • Dry fruits for garnishing
  • For Coconut Halwa:
  • 1 cup fresh coconut dessicated
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk

For Carrot Halwa:

  • 2 cup grated carrot
  • 2 cup fresh cream milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp ghee

 

METHOD:

For preparing lauki kaa Halwa- Heat ghee in a pan, add bottle gourd and sauté on medium flame for 2-4 minutes. Add hot milk and keep stirring till it consistency becomes thick. Add the sugar and mix well and cook well till it gets thick consistency. Then add khoya and 2 tbsp of ghee and elaichi powder and mix well.

For preparing Coconut Halwa-  Heat ghee in nonstick pan. Add coconut and sauté for 4-5 minutes. Add sugar and milk and mix well. Cover the pan and allow to cook for 4-5 minutes. Uncover the lid and continue to cook till the sugar dissolves and the Halwa is prepared.

For preparing Carrot Halwa- Heat ghee in a pan and then add grated carrot and sauté it for 2 minutes and allow to cook till it becomes soft. Then add milk to it and mix it well. Allow the entire mixture to boil completely and stir in between so that milk doesn’t stick to bottom. Once half of the milk evaporates add suagr to it and stir properly. Once again cook the carrot for another 15-20 minutes till the milk evaporates completely and you get thick consistent gajar kaa halwa.

Now when all three Halwa’s are prepared you can arrange three of them in the colour of Tiranga to get Tricolour Halwa and then Garnish it with dry fruits of your Choice.

TIP:

In lauki halwa you can add khoya before adding sugar also. For all the three Halwa’s you can use Sugar free Natura Diet Sugar and can use Khoya too. If you have less time you can make halwa from suji and can add green and orange colour to it, and can prepare the tricolor halwa in short time period.
