Freedom from word “TOMORROW”

We are using so many words in our daily life. Few words we just take for granted and use them the maximum times during our chats with friends, family, relatives etc. Few of those words are Hi, Hello, Lolz, Sure, Ok, Done, I, Me, Myself, Take care, etc.

The one word which we usually keep on speaking is “TOMORROW”. Tomorrow means the day after the present day. It also means “future” or the near future.

Knowingly or unknowingly we use the word Tomorrow to postpone our task, may b out of our laziness, time scarcity or any simple reason. Majorly it is observed that the task which you dont do today and think that you will finish it tomorrow is never get done. It gets postponed and postponed. The better is to think about the imporatance of the task and finish it on time/today itself. The real truth is that you just done know what is going to happen tomorrow. Life is just mess up with so many things and as we all know nothing is guaranteed. so, we should live life as if we were to die tomorrow. The only thing we can think of tomorrow is to hope for tomorrow. So, I really want to get freedom from this word “TOMORROW” and do it right away. I want to live today. I want to live in this moment. I know if I work good today, my tomorrow would be obviously best. I dont know what each day has in bucket for me. Any minute can be a goodbye. but I do have this minute, this moment, this time, Today, Right now. I have really just one day and that is today and I want to be happy in it only.

I have read somewhere that “Tomorrow is only found in the calendar of fools.” We also know that the future starts today, not tomorrow. We should all know the true value of time, enjoy and manage every moment of life. No idleness, no laziness, nothing should stop you to achieve your goals.

Today is your own, Tomorrow may never come.

Try to complete your work today itself. Never leave that particular task pending till tomorrow which you can do today. The best preparation for tomorrow is to do todays work superbly well.

DIYs – Paper plate

Me and my 5 yr old daughter both loves to do Easy DIYs whenever we have free time. We love crafting and make our home a mess togather. We are always looking for some Easy DIYs which looks lovely and funny too. This one is the easiest of all which takes no time to prepare and every child can do that alone too.

Paper plate DIYs

Use Paper plates to create the characters which will turn up to a creative design.

Jellyfish 

Both of us love to create something unique and this time we have tried making Jellyfish from Paperplate that will make everyone happy. I have seen so much interaction with kids when they make it themselves. They love to save them from anything, thinking as they are real for them.

Complete it with easy steps to follow. I am sure every kid will love to do this.

Materials used 

  • Paper plates
  • Wax Colors
  • Craft glue
  • Scissors
  • Papers
  • Sketchpens
  • ribbons/colorful paper
  • Threads

Instructions

  1. Gather all the materials.
  2. Take one paper plate.
  3. Draw a shape of semi circle on it.
  4. With the help of adult, Trim it down .
  5. Cut 2 eye shapes paper.
  6. Stick the eyes on the semicircle paper plate with the help of glue.
  7. You can add wax colours on paper plates (on the side you eat) of your choice to make jellyfish look more attractive and colorful.
  8. From the decorative paper, cut down 3-4 colourful ribbons.
  9. After you have stick the eyes on paper plate, turn back the paperplate and stick the ribbons one by one of same length with the help of glue. These will be jellyfish tentacles.
  10. Ensure those ribbons are nicely placed.

Note :- It develops child’s motor skill and valuable cutting practice which leads to a creative play for them.

Its real fun…right?

I truly treasure all the moments spent with my kid. I need to confess here that I am her first die hard fan in this world.

Being a Mom, I am the person to spent maximum time with my kid. She is 5 years old now. The time we spent together is so precious. I am very possessive Mom. Generally i make a long schedule for her so that she learns discipline, time management and good habits. I am very serious about the way she learns new things, she plays, she eat, etc etc. Taking good care of her and provide her safety is my responsibility. The other side is keeping her healthy which is rather the most important thing these days.

I wish to live in present and want to enjoy the best time with her. We do everything sitting together whether thats breakfast, lunch or dinner, playing games, doing homework, dancing, reading stories, enjoying rains, singing songs, etc… i silently notice what she is doing and how she is growing up. My priority is my kid. I left my high earning job just to make sure that my kid gets what she really needs.

When it comes to take care of her health, i really make sure i give her every possible thing for her good health. Trying hard to deal with her when it comes to feeding few veggies and fruits. And as we all know, after taking so much of good care, change in season plays its role…

Kids at this age, generally fall sick. The change in temperature permits different viruses to flourish and these viruses make them sick. Every season change brings some health issues. With the season change many kids suffer from cold and cough.The mixed season always welcomes the health problems. The very first problem my child has to face with the change in season is her runny nose/stuffed mucus/chest congestion. I am sure the same would be the case, with majority of you all…

And this is when my challenging days starts !!

She needs lots of pampering when sick. I am a work from home Mom. so taking time out from the busy schedule and kitchen is the tough job again. As i said, my priority is my kid. I make sure to give her comfort. She becomes so cranky the whole day because of this discomfort and all the schedule we maintained just mess up. She don’t want to do anything and just want me by her side. Its rather so painful to see her cranky and sleeping whole day… As otherwise she is the most active child in our family.

The discomfort she feels is mainly due to nasal congestion, the bloody blocked nose. Because of that, she don’t want to eat anything. The taste in her mouth just went away and she didn’t like even her favourite food now. This is the toughest time for any mom and dad. I just try to calm her down and make her eat something like Khichdi which can help her heal faster. I try few home remedies too so that she feels better. Giving her comfort i anyhow make her sleep but again the blocked nose plays its role. The collection of mucus in her nose doesn’t make her go to sleep and it causes much discomfort. Child at this age doesn’t know how to discharge the mucus. It gives rise to loss in sleep hours for kids as well as parents. Optimal sleeps is necessary for all babies. Hence for proper development of my kid, i have to make sure she has unblocked nose which helps her breathe properly and intern giving good night sleep. Since they have breathing problem because of blocked nose it simultaneously leads to eating and sleeping routine. Thats why clearing her mucus is very important for me.

Dosage

Few other quick home remedies are :-

Glass of warm turmeric milk.
Keep your baby well hydrated.
Filling Humidifier with plain water and keeping that in babies room while she is sleeping sometimes works.
For infants, breastmilk is better than any other medications.
Elevate your baby’s head with the help of a pillow when sleeping. It will help mucus to drain out thereby opening up the passage of nasal.
A saline solution supports the cleansing of the nose and nasal cavity. Because it is based on a salt ingredient, it can also be used on your baby’s sensitive nose.
Make sure your kids enough of rest time.

Home Remedies – Sleep disorders

Lack of sleep is really very bad for health. Our body needs enough amount of sleep, thats 6-8 hours daily. That also affects our mental and emotional states. Long term sleep deprivation may have major chronic diseases as resultant. Medical issues like obesity, diabetes and heart related diseases are due to regular poor sleep routine. A proper good night sleep is very much necessary for a longer and healthier life.

 

Here are my remedies which you can try for a good night sleep :-

  • Before going to sleep, make sure you wash your hands and legs, do head oil massage. You will get a good sleep.
  • Consume 1/2 tsp honey.
  • Take 1/4th portion of nutmeg mixed with water and have it for good sleep.
  • Having Onion raita in dinner or before bedtimes gives good sleep.
  • Make a drink of fennel seeds, milk and whole sugar with water. Drink it chilled.
  • Calm down and meditate.
  • Try to listen to soft music.
  • Avoid caffeine.
  • Don’t consume tummy full heavy dinner.
  • Have enough gap between dinner and bedtime.
  • Spray your favourite room freshener in your bedroom to have great sleep.
  • Make sure you don’t have electronic devices in your bedroom, else try to minimize it. Turn cellphone on silent mode, keep it far away from your bed. so that you can have a relaxed mind and easy sleep.
  • Mute your brain activity by counting reverse numbers like from 100 to 1.
  • Take a hot/warm bath before going to bed.
  • Media curfew is really a best option if practised daily.
  • Darken your rooms and pray for 10-15 min before going to bed (Moms tip )
