Gas / Indigestion

 

 

  • Get into the habit of consuming your food and drinks slowly.
  • Breathe Long and deep.
  • Use a hot bag to your stomach to relieve the gas  as it will relax the muscles, ease the pain and quickly releases gas.
  • Exercising helps to remove gas . Do some yogasanas like Pawanmuktasana and matsyendrasanas which also helps to remove the gas.
  • To relieve the gas from tummy, apply heat on tummy using a hot bag.
  • Drink before meals.
  • Avoid artificial sweeteners.
  • Drink peppermint tea. I am sure it would be very helpful to release gas and relax yourself.  Have some black pepper or peppermint leaves , add those in boiling water . Wait for few minutes and strain it. You can also add honey and your tea is ready. Drink when warm.
  • Chamomile tea is also helpful for any digestive problems.
  • Drinking green tea on regular basis is a superb and healthy home remedy for gas relief.
  • Fennel seeds prevents the formation of gas when consumed in the form of tea. You can also chew few fennel seeds after your meals. It’s the best mouth freshener too.
  • Mix 1 teaspoon baking soda well in a glass of water . Drink in empty stomach.
  • Drink 10-12 glasses of water everyday to keep yourself best hydrated.
  • 1 tbsp freshly ground ginger with 1 cup of water , Sip this mixture 2-3 times a day.
  • Drink fresh coconut water twice daily.
  • Eat a cup of fresh yogurt 2-3 times a day.
  • Add few cloves of garlic in any veggie soups and drink 2-3 times daily.
  • Add 1-2 tsp cumin seeds in hot boiling water. Strain it. Drink this cumin tea daily once it has cooled down.
  • Lemon juice in a glass of water. Drink when warm.
